Have a Big-Ticket Raffle / Auction

Big-ticket Raffles always draw lots of interest, especially when the prize is awesome! This can be a great way to raise a lot of money within your community. Many times, you can pull some strings and get some items donated by local stores if you let them know it's for charity and provide the right documents. You may also have connections of people you know who can get stuff donated.

Once you have the items you want to raffle, there are a few ways to go about selling raffle tickets.

Raffle:

You can either sell higher-priced individual tickets for each item or sell tickets in batches (such as 5 for $15 or 20 for $50). In big-ticket raffles, make sure to price your raffle tickets in a way that makes all of your efforts worth it. Remember, it's for charity and people will donate big for a chance at an awesome prize!

Auction:

If you prefer, you can also auction items off. Silent auctions are a great way to create a competitive environment. This also gives control to the donors over who wins the big prize! Make sure to set minimums starting bids and minimum bid amounts to keep the auction amount growing!
