Successful Online Fundraising

Online fundraising is a very important part of your campaign. When creating a plan, make sure to put some effort into your online presence.

  1. Start Your Campaign online. Visit and click the blue START A CAMPAIGN button in the top right-hand corner to create a Side-Out account and start your campaign. Already have a Side-Out account? LOG-IN here to create a new campaign!

  2. Personalize your fundraising page. Donors appreciate team photos, stories, and any other personal touches. This is also a great place add your event details and the reason you're supporting Side-Out.

  3. Utilize Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, personal blogs, and any other means of online information sharing to reach out to possible donors. Always provide a link to your team’s fundraising page so they can donate easily.

  4. Send reminder e-mails/status updates before and after your fundraiser to keep your donors posted on your progress and to motivate those who have not yet given.

Fundraising doesn't have to be hard or stressful. Gift basket raffles, selling baked goodies, t-shirt sales, and having serving competitions are all great ways to create a fun and warm environment for the event, but they take lots of effort and time and sometimes they create stress for the coaches and the organizers.
